TARAN SOCIAL provides social media planning, scheduling and management tools for brands, creators, businesses and agencies.
Information We Collect
We may collect account information such as name, email address and company name; connected social account identifiers and authorization tokens; content and media files uploaded by users; scheduled posts; analytics; usage data; and technical information needed to operate, secure and support the service.
Google API Services and YouTube Data
When a user chooses to connect a YouTube channel, Google authenticates the user and requests consent. TARAN SOCIAL does not receive or store the user's Google password. We request read-only access to the selected YouTube channel and its YouTube Analytics reports using the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API scopes youtube.readonly and yt-analytics.readonly.
The data we receive may include the selected channel's identifier and name, recent video identifiers, titles, thumbnails, publication dates and available public performance counts, plus channel analytics such as views, watch time, likes, comments, shares and subscriber changes. We use this information only to identify the connected channel and display its recent videos and performance analytics in the user's TARAN SOCIAL workspace.
Our YouTube integration is read-only. TARAN SOCIAL does not upload, publish, edit or delete YouTube videos. We do not access Gmail or Google Drive through this integration. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence models. Google API data is not shared except with service providers that process it for TARAN SOCIAL under our instructions and only to operate the service.
OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted and used only to maintain the user-authorized connection and retrieve the requested YouTube data. We retain synchronized channel and analytics data while needed to provide the connected feature. A user may revoke TARAN SOCIAL's Google access from their Google Account security settings and may request deletion of synchronized data by contacting us. Once access is revoked, we cannot retrieve additional YouTube data unless the user authorizes the connection again.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Other Social Media Integrations
When users connect other social media accounts, TARAN SOCIAL accesses only the permissions granted by the user and needed for the selected features. This may include profile information, pages or accounts selected by the user, publishing permissions, media and post performance data when available. Each platform processes information under its own privacy policy.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide the platform, authenticate users, connect authorized accounts, schedule and publish content where supported, display analytics, improve reliability, provide support, prevent abuse and comply with applicable laws and platform policies.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Information may be processed by infrastructure and service providers needed to operate TARAN SOCIAL, by the social platforms authorized by the user, or by authorities when legally required. We limit access to data to what is necessary to provide the requested service.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain account and operational information while an account is active or as needed to provide the service, maintain security or meet legal obligations. Users may revoke a Google authorization in their Google Account settings and request access, correction or deletion of personal information and synchronized YouTube data by contacting us from the email associated with their account.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption of social authorization tokens and access controls, to protect data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
